We now know that the smoke monster ("smokey") is the anti-Jacob which seems to be occupying a body resembling John Locke. A few questions remain regarding smokey. Why was Mr. Echo able to repel him in an earlier season? What is the signficance of the circle of black powder that repelled smokey last night?
Other questions that remain:
1. who are the "good guys"?
2. who are the new group of people who are at the temple?
3. what is Desmond's role and why was he on the plane to LAX?
4. where is Christian Sheperd's coffin?
5. where is Clare?
6. what are major issues separating Jacob and anti-Jacob?

1. I'm not convinced there are "good guys" and "bad guys," but clearly, there is a "difference of opinion."
ReplyDelete2. I think the Temple people are followers of Jacob. Possibly a sub set of the original "others"
3. Desmond clearly has "special status." I suspect that Widmore is aware of this.
4. the importandt question is where and what is Christian Sheperd?
5. LA Claire is in the cab with LA Kate. I suspect that LA Kate delivers LA Claire's baby.
Island Claire is with Christian, but why? and is she dead. I think think she's aware of her relationship to Jack.
6. It seems to be a philosophical difference, i.e. Man is essentially good vs. Man is essential evil.
I have a few predictions:
A. LA Jack operates on LA Locke, which may even cause him to walk again.
B. We find out where Richard is from. I suspect that he was Fist Mate on the Black Rock, and that there was a mutany (Richard in Chains).
In season 4 (The Constant) we see Widmore bidding on the Fist Mate's log from the Black Rock.
C. I suspect that LA Sawyer and LA Juliet meet, and go out for coffee (dutch).
After the 2/9 episode, I can see A, above, happening. After all, who can pass up an "on the house" offer from a spinal surgeon?
